Bubble Up

I came across one of Melvin Sokolsky's famous "Bubble" photos this morning. I love them. They were shot for Harper's Bazaar in 1963.

Current fashion photography is rarely exciting to me. These are fun. They are whimsical and pretty and likable.

He also did a "flying" series.

Maybe I'm living in the wrong era.

The "flying" series kind of remind me of Philippe Halsman's "Jump" photographs- love them!
